About the position

Höganäs AB is seeking a Director for their Project Management Office, a pivotal role in driving the strategic initiatives that will shape the future of the company’s operations and products. The PMO Director will lead a team of project managers responsible for defining, prioritizing, and executing key projects across the organization. Collaborating with various stakeholders, the PMO Director will enhance project management capabilities and ensure alignment with Höganäs strategic goals. This role will contribute to defining the overall project management strategy, propelling Höganäs towards its ambition of being a leader in sustainable innovation and operational excellence.

Experience and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Several years of documented leadership experience, preferably in a global organization
  • Proven experience in leading a project management office and expertise in both product and process development, ideally in the automotive sector
  • Deep understanding of project management principles, with documented experience leading large-scale development projects
  • Experience with governance structures in general and for projects and project portfolios in particular
  • Proficiency in structured, fact-based decision-making, scope management, project time management, risk management, and quality management according to APQP/IATF or VDA standards
  • Fluency in English, Swedish is a merit

    Scope/Goals of the Role

    • Lead the PMO in the PMT division towards achieving project excellence
    • Improve the complete platform for executing projects, including developing people and organizational project work
    • Align projects with strategic business goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in project management practices
    • Engage in stakeholder management and maintain excellent communication with all parties involved
    • Drive change management initiatives and ensure alignment with business goals
